We are big fans of anything that celebrates the inclusion of persons with differing abilities in all aspects of our daily lives. Without ASL, persons who have speech or language difficulties would find it difficult to communicate with others.
The first-ever Winner of our Sock Design Contest: Sierra Sapack! She is currently a junior at Liberty University majoring in Special Education and minoring in American Sign Language. Her design was a blue sock with hearts and a hand displaying the American Sign Language gesture for "I Love You." Sapack was inspired to design her sock, entitled "I Love You in American Sign Language," by her ASL professor, who is deaf.
These socks celebrate people who are deaf and use American sign language. And they will raise money for our new charity partner, the . Ten percent of the sale of these American Sign Language I Love You Crew Socks is donated to .
